Stadtentwicklung
Eva-Maria Burchard ist freie Fotografin und war Redakteurin beim Condé Nast Verlag in München,
bevor sie nach Düsseldorf kam. Dort arbeitete sie mit den Becher-Schülerinnen
Katharina Mayer und Birgitta Thaysen sowie ab 2006 im Bereich Reportage- und Dokumentarfotografie
mit Prof. Rolf Nobel, Hannover.
Sie ist Mitglied der Fotografengruppe LANDMARKER und seit 2010 Leiterin der Regionalgruppe
Rheinland
des
Fotografenverbandes FREELENS.
Für private und öffentliche Auftraggeber sowie Kommunen dokumentiert und visualisiert sie
Stadtentwicklung, Transformation und Vielfalt der Stadt-Mensch-Beziehung u. a. in Form von Magazinen
und
Ausstellungen auch im öffentlichen Raum. Dabei geht es um die Förderung von Lebens- und
Aufenthaltsqualität, Partizipation, Toleranz und die Identifikation der Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner
mit
ihrer Stadt und den unterschiedlichen Quartieren.
Eva-Maria Burchard is a freelance photographer and was an editor at Condé Nast Verlag in Munich
before moving to Düsseldorf. There she worked with Katharina Mayer and Birgitta Thaysen,
two students of Bernd and Hilla Becher, and from 2006 in reportage and documentary photography
with Prof. Rolf Nobel, Hanover.
She is a member of the photographer group LANDMARKER and has been head of the Rhineland regional
group of the photographer association FREELENS
since 2010.
She documents and visualises urban development, transformation and the diversity of urban-human
relationships for private and public clients, as well as public spaces in the form of magazines
and exhibitions in public spaces. The aim is to promote quality of life and quality of stay,
participation, tolerance and the identification of residents with their city and the various
neighbourhoods.
